Q 1: What is the earliest and latest time I can check in?
A: You can arrive at Butlins from 12 pm, and show them your paperwork, to go around on main resort. Caravan check in is at 4 pm, from Caravan Village reception and after 6 pm the keys and welcome pack will be on Butlins caravan villages security gate as It’s manned 24 hrs aday.
Q 2: Where do I collect my keys from?
A: You can collect the keys to your caravan from the reception desk at the Caravan Village. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the specified time to avoid long queues and any other inconveniences.
Q 3: Do I have to pay a deposit?
A: Yes the deposit is £ 50 for family holidays and £100.00 for adult big weekends & needs to be paid up front. This deposit is also non refundable if you cancel the holiday.
Q 4: How far is the centre stage from my caravan?
A: The distance depends on the location of the caravan. Typically, the centre stage is located at a walking distance of 5 minutes from the location of the caravan.
Q 5: Do I need to bring bed linen?
A: Yes, you do need to bring quilt covers, bottom sheets to place on the mattresses, and pillow cases, with you. All mattresses provided are waterproof. Also you can hire bed linen from Scarletts Caravans.
Q 6: Is there a high chair or cot to accommodate small children in the static caravan ?
A: We would advise bringing your own supplies in this regard as Scarletts caravans does not provide these facilities.
Q 7: Are pets allowed in the caravan ?
A: No, pets are strictly not allowed as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the paperwork. Any individual or family found to be breaking this rule may be subject to immediate expulsion without refund from the Caravan you hired.
Q 8: How many people can a single static caravan accommodate ?
A: It is possible to have up to 6 people in a single caravan; 2 in a double bedroom, 2 in a bedroom having bunk bed, and 2 in another bedroom having two single beds placed side by side. 2 Caravans can also be arranged in a single booking if needed for bigger family booking.
Q 9: What do I do if I have a problem with my caravan?
A: Immediately contact Scarletts Caravans if any problem arises in your caravan (i.e. leaking roof) to resolve it before it causes any further damage to the caravan. Call Mr. Clarke on 07887621502 to alert him to the problem. Mr Clarke will call Butlins to tend to your problem, If he cant get there to fix it.
Q 10: What is the latest time that I can check out of the caravan?
A: You need to vacate the caravan before 10 AM to allow Scarletts to clean and prepare it for the next guests coming in.
Q 11: Does the caravan come with a car parking space?
A: Yes, each caravan comes with a single parking space. However, if you have more than one car, you can park them in close proximity to each other to make sure it does not disturb the other caravan residents.
Q 12: What is the last possible date to pay for a caravan rental?
A: The caravan rental amount usually needs to be paid in full 8 weeks prior to your holiday start date; unless you are booking a late holiday, in this case payment must be paid in full within the 8 weeks peroid.
Q 13: Do the caravans have washing machines and dryers? If so, how much do they cost?
A: Yes; all the caravans have washing machines & tumble dryers present which are on a coin meter. The charge for using the machines are £1 for 48 minutes of washing and drying. However you will need to bring your own wash powder.
Q 14: What are the caravan site camping rules?
A: Please read the terms and conditions mentioned in your paperwork for a complete list of acceptable and non-acceptable behaviour.
Q 15: Is it possible for me to extend my holiday?
A: It may be possible to extend your holiday, but you might need to switch caravans. We recommend you contact Scarletts Caravan Hire for further details regarding such an arrangement, As the caravan you staying in might be rented out.
Q 16: How far in advance can I book a holiday?
A: You can book a holiday up to a year in advance.
Q 17: How can I enter Butlins if I have made a last minute booking and have yet to receive any paperwork?
A: Approach the main gate and inform the security guard posted that you have made a caravan holiday booking with Chris Clarke. Then, proceed to the reception with your query, or contact Mr. Clarke for further assistance.
Q 18: In what condition should I leave the static caravan in?
A: The caravan must be left in the same state as it was given to you in. Costs for any damages found will be deducted from the customer’s deposit
Q 19: Is smoking allowed in the caravan?
A: No, smoking is strictly not allowed in any of the caravans, as emphasised by the “NO SMOKING” signs placed. If you smoke in the caravan and end up burning the carpets, you will have to pay for the cost of a new carpet. If you smoke outside the caravan, it is requested that you cleanly dispose of the cigarette butts by throwing them in a dustbin.
